Laserfibre MS200 ECO:  Assembly

Applying Tension to the String | Miscellaneous Pictures | Initial Impression

Accounts of other owners and Tim that the manual that comes with the product is unusable is true ... well almost.

By referring repeatedly to the vague assembly drawings in the manual,  I was able to assemble it.

Tim also helped me with a couple of things including replacing the black turntable stopper with a much shorter white stopper meant for the upgraded turntable.

Quick note: I was about 100% done in assembling the stringer when I realized I was missing a couple of parts:  two (2) pins.  One pin secures the tensioning jaw to the stringer body and the other secures the weight lever to the tensioning mechanism.  I called back Tim.  He felt bad and apologized about the oversight which is partly attributed to the fact that they normally don't sell ECOs with flying clamps in this configuration.  Normally the stringer is packed with the pins pre-installed.  But for this set up, they had to remove them.

At any rate, I got the pins in the mail after several days and I was able to finally complete assembly of the stringer.
