TV Mockup

If you are seriously thinking about getting one of these monstrosities (e.g., 56/65
inch RPTV sets) into your home and are a little unsure of whether you can clear the
hallway, door, or corner, consider what I did.
I built a full size mockup of the TV sized to the TV's exact dimensions. It was
made out wood. Total cost was about $7. I initially tried to build one out of
cardboard but learned almost immediately that it was too flimsy.
My wife and I took the mockup to the basement entrance and made a few passes through
the best delivery route. After a few times, I was convinced that the TV would clear
all potential trouble areas. |
