Tip from Leo Vildosola: "I had a
client who wanted HDTV in his TP61H95 and I asked him to contact Toshiba first since the
vertical squeeze did not work well on his set.
Anyway, it turns out that Toshiba has a fix/workaround that would allow one to view
HDTV on these sets without having to perform a vertical squeeze. It worked okay and some
of your readers may be interested.
It did appear to produce some artifacting but I am not sure if that was attributed to
the source. Some of the sample material looked very good, even during motion scenes.
Others showed some artifacting.
