Eliminate Magenta Line
caused by Dish 6000 STB
<< Back to Philips Tips
Tip by Jeff Coursen: The combination of a
Philips 60PP9601 with a DISH 6000 receiver set to 1080i component video output produces a
stationary, short bright magenta line near the bottom of the screen. This is due to a
signal coming from the 6000.
Philips design engineers are aware of this problem. I discovered a fix to eliminate it:
simply set the DISH 6000 to RGB output, and run an RGB cable to Aux 5 instead of using the
component video cables. The line will disappear. |
