Tip from Kevin Weir: "I have a Sears
brand JVC A32020 which can do the anomorphic squeeze. Do the following:
- Access the service mode: set SLEEP TIMER to 0 MIN.
- While this is still displayed, simultaneously push DISPLAY and
VIDEO STATUS. The service menu will pop up!
- Under Picture you will find the setting for V-size. Taking it down to 000 will squeeze
the picture.
- Now within your DVD player set the Video to 16:9 and your done.
Do this only for anamophic movies viewed on a 4:3 TV to increase picture quality. When
viewing regular movies change it all back.
From what I've read the D-series will also do it but the results maybe white lines.
