ISF Calibration Cost

<< Back to ISF

Basic greyscale adjustment runs about $250.  But a typical calibration session averages around $350 since most folks ask for "extras" like duvetyne lining, convergence alignments, overscan, etc.

Please be advised that not all calibration outfits provide the same services.  Their price structures based on services are different.  Services not part of their standard services cost extra.  Hence, depending on the adjustments needed for your TV, it can go upwards of about $1000 for a full blown calibration session.

For reference, here is the ISF recommended calibration pricing (as of Aug 01) for "Bare Bones Calibration".

  • $225 Direct View Tube sets
  • $275 RPTV
  • $325 FPTV
  • $125 per additional scan rate for HDTV sets

Some calibrators add a house call charge on top of this: $75 or so. Others charge for travel time.

So before you contract one to do your TV, you may want to ask for the laundry list of things they will do and at what price.  You may want to ask them also if they use sophisticated instruments to perform their service.

Above are general or reference pricing for subject work.  But just like any business, each calibrator pricing are slightly different.  For specific pricing for each of the listed calibrators here, please check out the link in our ISF calibrators list.
