Unity Motion Tips

Tip from Ken F:  Someone asked how one would adjust the TV HD input on a Mitsu 65903 without a signal input source.  The older, first-generation Unity Motion box had test pattern(s) for HD setup.  A few may use test patterns recorded to D-VHS tape; in order to use the discontinued Panasonic HDTV STB and D-VHS with the older Mitsubishi models for 1080i, one would need to buy a Component to RGB transcoder.

Tip from Richard Adams:  Both the HDR1000 and HDR1000A Unity Motion boxes have built in test pattern generator. It is a bit more obscure with the HDR1000A.

Here's how to get it:

1. Press Menu
2. Press the number 9 key four times
3. Scroll to the VDP test line
4. Press right arrow
5. Press the right arrow to get the next pattern
